Default Lighting arrangements
I have 9 plants, 5 in the aerogarden, 4 in soil.. 6 days old right now.. I just got my MH light in for vegging, I also have about 7 CFLS + the aerogarden light. I am going to setup the MH tonight, my question is how should I arrange the lights.. Should i give half the plants MH one day and the other half CFLS, and then switch from day to day, or is it better to just put the MH a little higher so it covers them all and let the cfls hit them closer.. I would like them all to benefit off the light. The light I have is a 400W MH/HPS from htgsupply

I am seriously considering an indoor grow next season. What is the cost of the electricity per month to run a decent setup for about 6 plants? I'm outdoor growing away from my property and it's a lot of work. An indoor grow would be much easier.

indoor is the way to go in my opinion. The energy has not cost me too much and I grow 12 at a time

good luck~

pj, do you grow in soil or hydro? I would want to grow in soil because hydro sounds more complicated aside from the cost. It's my impression that methods other than soil are much more scientific and time consuming. I wish I could build a simple grow closet and put about 6 plants in it. I would hope to germinate quite a few, sex them, then veg and flower. If I did it it would need to be a simple grow closet.

Why in your opinion is indoor the way to go? Somehow I get the feeling there's more to go wrong indoors(mold, ph, nute lockout), not that outdoors is without challenges either. Is my impression wrong?
