Hello all. We are first time growers here. We currently have 10 clones of different varieties growing , we got them 4 days ago. We have them growing 12 inches under a 600 watt hps light. We have no reflective material around them, though we've heard you need it? Also, we are unsure of how long a clone should go before set into flowering for the most bud output in the shortest amount of time? Is there a hight or days limit for it? Right now they are only about 5 inches tall. Does a hps light work for all stages of growth? We have ALOT to learn, so any input about anything would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Once clones have taken root you should veg for a further two weeks before flower, may even be 10 days depending on how you feel... It's good to veg for 2 weeks before putting them into flower, whereby after a weeks flowering (so that you are into your 2nd week of flower) you can take even more clones and start the process all over again.

Yes a HPS is fine for both stages. Good luck people, what strains you got?

If your light is only 12 inches above your young plants, you better make sure you have adequate airflow... Although it is fantastic that you have the light so close... It is also very easy for such a powerful light to burn plants... Make sure you have a fan blowing between your plants and your light... The fan should be blowing at a slight angle upward... Thus blowing the heat up and away from your plants... The setting on the fan should be just strong enough that your plants are moving around do to airflow...

Are your clones rooted?
Are they in soil?
How big are the conntainers?

Hi. Thank you for the quick replies. They are very helpful. The strains we have are; Big Wreck, Train Wreck, Sour Diesel, Perps, Mango, grape-something I can't remember at this moment. They are pretty good. We also have some seeds of Skunk which we'll grow after the clones are done. How about watering? What is the proper way to water? I made the mistake of using a jug and it messed up the soil. I have gotten conflicting info on how often to water also. I'm going out to buy a fan right now and hopefully all goes well and we can start to flower in 2 weeks. Thank you for the advice. Have you ever tried some of the strains we have? Let me know...
