i've used cfls for my first grow and part of my current grow, however my hps/mh just came in the mail, and i'll be using cfls for sidelights as well as house lights to compensate for the hps/mh

Roseman I think was our greatest CFL supporter.
Unfortunately, he is no longer with us.

I have used cfl's since my first grow.
They work well for those who have a low or non existant grow budget.

I am flowering out a mom and 9 clones right now with cfl's.

When I can afford it I will buy a hps for flower and use my cfl's for veg, clones, and mom's.


You can't hardly beat cfl's for veg.
However, flowering needs hps for tighter and bigger buds.

Post how many watts and lights you use!!!

Here's my CFL question of the day. Should i do all 6500k daylight bulbs, or should I throw a 2700k bulb in the mix too during Veg? I have a 42 watt 2700k bulb burning with 5 26 watt daylight bulbs. I have an extra daylight buld, 26 watt, should i take the 42 watt 2700k buld out and add the 26 watt daylight.

Reduced, the question is: Will a plant in veg get more light it can use from a 26 watt 6500k daylight cfl than it could from a 42 watt 2700k warm color cfl?

If you guys tell me how to host images without getting my ass tracked down, like what method or site to use. ill make a banner and maybe a avatar or something we could use for the following

CFL User
CFL Temporary User.
CFL Side Lighter User


Because everyone uses or did use cfl at one point in time

do the day lights bulbs for about 4 wks of veg then throw in the 27ks and use them also for the first 2 wks of flowering so yo plant wont strech so much then u can use all 27ks after the 2 wks

dude use an hps it will take only 1 week to get your 10" plants so you can flower, your making a club for a light bulb?

its just like making a club for those old ass floppy disks and using them when everyone else is burnin rubber using cd's
