You’re dealing with mild psychoactive substances here. It affects the central nervous system, perception and consciousness in ways far beyond my knowledge base. These changes are subjective to ones initial psychological, emotional, and mental state but we also know that you can identify different traits in “the high” different strains of marijuana give you. Can laughter or “giggling” be one of these traits? I don’t see why not.
Either way, it would take one smart cookie to really answer that question. There are too many variables to consider and get a real answer. And if they did, I am sure it would change significantly per individual.

Thanks for the support. One time I made some butter out of the lower popcorn buds on my super silver haze plants and all of us got uncontrollable giggles. I hadn't had that happen since the first time I smoked. Haven't you ever had that happen? You know what's happening is funny, but you're laughing so hard and for so long that you know it has to be enhanced giggle power. Am I crazy?

interesting discussion. I look at weed at being my way to find a comfy spot in the now. it takes me to the now. I spend a lot less time in past and future thinking, enjoying the now. the people, the smells, the sights, the thoughts, the emotion, whatever might be at the time. It allows me to be .... now, and in the moment. And by some people's measure, that is exactly how simple "happiness" is . Start being and stop doing, and happiness will cloak you from head to toe. Weed allows me to be there. Walk On!~

Well what Ive seen from 38 years of smoking herb is that the sativas are the ones we hear the storys about peoples first high giving them the giggles. I could see a haze doing that for sure.

OK, we're getting something to work with. So Sativas make sense that they would give a higher high since they aren't the couch lock type of high that indicas are. What about an early harvest sativa with totally clear tricomes?

it depends WHEN you harvest. an early harvest where the thrinchomes are cloudy, will give you a up laughy high. a Amber color will give you a coutch lock high. this site will tell you all about it. http://growingmarijuana.org/general/tip-2/

I agree with you. So what about when they are clear? I was thinking Indica with lots of amber for total couch lock and Sativa with clear tricomes for ultimate psycho-activity?

when there clear the THC levels are not high enough, its a really crappy high. you know i dont even think sativa, indica matter, the way you grow them and when you harvest, means everything.

That's a fair assesment. Sativa would be the more likely to make you laugh. But as was stated earlier, it's ultimately down to the individual. Laughter is contageous afterall, if one person is pissing themselves laughing, you will more than likely join them or at least want to.
I look back on the years spent smoking up, and I do remember in my earliest days I did have a couple of really good laughing sessions, they were really fun. Maybe the feeling of levity is more concentrated in the earlier days? And one's brain conditions itself to cope with the high?
I've had a couple of times where I've had a really good laugh, but I think it was more about the stimulus than the type of weed I smoked (which was probably sativa anyway).
