Hey i was wondering if partially or fully powering a grow room with solar panels is a bad idea? Had anyone ever tried it? Thanks, Oh also do you think its possible to power a grow room by using one of those portable power packs from canadian tire? Maybe by using a few of em, perhaps it will not arouse suspicions

if 1 meter square of solerpower will give you 80w 12v it will take hell of alot to power a 600w hps 240v work it out

solar panels must take in more than 80 watt, what about a giant wind turbine? lol

I remember seeing on some show, I think it was Beyond 3000, where they showed some natural lighting fixtures which brought in actual sunlight via fiber optics. Dunno if they have indoor growing potential or not. Also, way too pricey. Here it is SkyPort Fiber Optic Skylight System - Gizmodo

I saw a solar panel at home depot which i believe had 1750 watts, perhaps thats enough to power a grow room, perhaps two of em is
