Default water meter always reading wet

i'm using 2gal pots and they are very drainable. i'm holding water for like 4 days in that shit tho. what's up??

if it reads wet don't water. over-watering will kill your plants. under-watering is a much easier fix.

If the soil is dry and your plant is wilting then that is to long..

my plant isn't wilting. it's doing well that i've stopped spilling my ferts on my fan leaves. i was just very surprised at either how well the soil was holding water or the roots, whichever i tapped into with the moisture meter. but i guess 4 days isn't that bad. thanks SHAMAN and MajoR TokE.

meter question, my 3 way meter(new) is the ph/water, and light unit green in colour...question is , it shows the same needle setting on ph or light. no movement unless I hold it right up against a bulb. moisture setting is showing on the nearly dry side no matter what unless I immerse it in water. WTF? Is this a bad unit or just the cheap 'made in china' type that it is, what is a good moderately priced on? HELP. I want my kids to be healthy here. lol
