Just make sure the soil is close to near being dry. Push your finger in the soil down an inch or two, if ths soil is dry, then water....also, lift your pots when you water them to see how heavy they are....so then you know when they are dry by the weight of the pot. if its heavy its wet, if not its dry. after doing it a bunch of times, it will become automatic for you and it will be hard for you to over/underwater again.

It all depends on how your good your soil drains.
You should water with half of the pots volume.
For ex. 2 gal with 1 gal of water.

Then you let the soil dry out completely before watering again.
A bigger pot like that will take longer for the plant to use up the water.
I usually water once a week in 4.7 L pots.
I feed them in between waterings.

It is a good idea to use something for drainage to mix with the soil. I use perlite 40% / soil 60%.

i found with 2 gal pots under hid 1.5 liter every two days was fine. giving them lots of water once a month. all depends how much water you give your plant, how much water your plants use up, light, airflow, temp.. just trust your water meter. dont over water. let your soil ALMOST dry before watering again.

am thinking the meter is bad. it just doesnt move at all switching it from light to ph setting either. this was tried in soil as well as a water and dirt slurry as directions said to test it.
also, during flowering, how dark is dark gotta be? like, pitch black, or just pretty dark. may have to block off light from other side of the room more.
PEACE OUT

meter's fine. just checked it in a glass of water and in some totally and semi-dry soil.

darkness, to me, seems to be an absolute. the more the better during the dark cycle. however your question, raven, seems to be about how much light would be damaging during the cycle. to that, i don't know.

As far as intensity and duration are concerned, how much light is enough light to fuck up the flowering cycle?

i think i have the same meter as you, 2 probes that go into the soil. mine gets used daily but i never totally rely on it as its only a cheapo lol. over time you will get to know your plants and see when they want water etc...
