Currently running two 1000w quantum ballasts. I personally really enjoy these ballast. The power out put is adjustable ranging from 50, 75, and 100 percent therefore saving electricity throughout your grow. My local grow shop has never heard of these and through my experiences neither have many others. Anyone else out there use these ballast and what are your experiences. Ive had one harvest already using these ballast and Ive never had such an even cannopy.

Im in two minds. I was all set to buy one, then seen a few posts on the forums with members saying the fan gets very noisey...if it breaks then the ballast is done...or even worse your out and it could cause some problems.

Then, another member said;

I went to the hydro store today to make some upgrades. I was talking with the guys and lumatek is supposed to release a dimmable ballast similar to to the quantum. They hand out free catalogs an I turn to page 11 of "Urban Gardener" issue 005 June/July and there she is in a full page ad!!!!!!

So, I might hold off and see if i can find the lumatek dimmable ballast.

Can you give me an honest review of your new quantum? Also, if you bought it online...where abouts?
