Lets take a second to think about
this one............With all this indoor
cultivation there are alot of MJ
strains that have never been grown
outdoors and if so very little.

And if this countinues in the distant
future some marijuana strains would
never make it the outdoor climates.

yep-thats possible.I am a outdoor grower and i like my plants growing in the endless soil of mother nature.maybe some strains cultivated inside would responce better in outdise???who nows.

all seems to be about the indoor to me,the suns good,but you can get far for energy to the plant indoors,3 times as much in the standard set up,you get bigger buds,stronger buds,and stronger plants,indoor all the way

i always thought bigger buds was outside, but what do i know

I see nothing wrong with this. What? Are all the outdoor strains suddenly going to die off? Cannabis has been, and still is, growing in the wild for thousands of years. Just because a bit of it has been copied for indoor use, doesn't mean crap. If the indoor strains all disappeared, we'd go back outside, and start breading again.

For some people growing outside is not a option. If I were to grow outside my plants would be gone in a few days. Even in my backyard. IMO growing inside you are able to push the plant to the max ( ppm, co2, perfect light schedule, perfect medium) And outside you can grow it too the max ( free light, unlimited height) Some strains just need the intense light of the sun to get a decent yield. Other grow better indoors with less elemental stress.

plenty of people grow exclusively outdoors, and breed only the plants that do well outside. most seed banks will have a listing as to whether or not the strain is an indoor or outdoor strain. indo's will have a hard time outdoors usually, as they are not resistant to pests and ailments, and outdoor plants will be tall, leggy, and lanky indoors, as 1kw lighting is not sufficient to keep them squat.

pot will outlive humans. we will be extinct before the plant is.

Well with all the kush fields in the middle east out door grow will never stop. Thats how they make there money, now if some people to the west want to grow indoors it doesnt mean crap to them lol. But I do like indoor bud better.

i mean there are alot of strains that are asexual(clone only strains) and if breeded their genes wont be original

Most likely, all the genes in the indoor strains are still there in the outdoor strains. they just haven't been bred to use them. Even if all the indoor plants died, we could just go get some seeds from outdoor plants, and start breading over again. Yes, we would lose the original strain genetics, but we can always breed the same traits int a new strain.
