(preface: working with clones....would like to work with a minimum # of plants...DON'T want to SOG)
would a 600w hps over a 3' x 3' tray do it?
1000w over a 4' x 4' tray?
5 inch, 6, 7, 8 inch pots?
scrog, topped, or natural?
how long to veg...or root clones then straight to flower?
I know most of this is relative to strain, environment, etc.....just trying to get a guesstimate...or actual testimony.
Thanks

Well as u mentioned its strain dependent but if u got a few grows under ur belt just use the figure of .5 grams per watt.224 grams a pound there abouts I think so in theory one big plant or two medium plants under a 600 watter should be sufficient.. Again this is theory but hope it helps

1lb with 9 plants is only 1.7 Oz. per plant. I got 1.25 oz. per plant (average for 6 plants) on my 1st grow when I barely knew what i was doing.
IMO the most yeild with the least # of plants can be accomplished using LST.

yeah haha a pound is 448 not 224 and u can easily yield a 2 ounce from 1 plant if you grow it naturally

i pull 1.75 to 2 lbs off 10 plants in a 5x5 space....

up until this grow i only flowered with 1260w (3 of 4 ballasts) of HO floros... this one im using all 4

thats about a half gram a watt

using 3 gallon pots

natural grow

vegged for 4 weeks from clone... flowered 5 to 6 weeks from seed

im grown 9 plants and will probably get near or hurdle the ELb....i started clones from a caregiver..vegged for a month or less..under a 600w..hps(MH much better for this)...then transplanted them to assorted larger containers...2-5gal..and moved them under the 600 and another 400hps. flowered for 1 month..then added a 1000w hps..and spread them out even more..coming towards the end just as simpsonsampson Is..check my link as well for ideas...
