my boi has a ak-48 plant.. but he has no leaves on tha shit.. says that the leaves take away nutrients?.. but his plant has chunky ass buds.. ssssoooo???.. do i really need the leaves on my plant?.. or can i do away with them... ?... which would be better as far as health and thc potency...?

Leave the leaves alone. Cut off anything thats dead or yellow but thats it. Think of the leaves as little power plants and the buds as electricity. In other words the bud is the product of the leaves. Health and potency wise, don't cut anything off. The only helpful thing I see happening is that the sugar leaves would grow larger and you would end up with a higher yield of less potent weed.

it covers pruning and flagging.... techniques that are a little unorthordox but successful when applied properly (like your friends).

BTW i prune off the bottom 1/3rd of my plants, as well as "flag" (remove) the fan leaves thruought flower....

Thats something I forgot to tell you,
Removing branches diverts the energy used for growth to the remaining branches. So for instance if you remove the bottom 1/3 of your plant, which doesn't produce as much energy as the top, then it allows the plant to concentrate just on the top branches/buds which grow larger than they would otherwise had.

ye you can prune them but it should only be the shadowing leaves but the plant needs the leaves for photosynthesis to produce energy for the flowering buds
