hey riu community i am wondering would it be possible to use a 700 litre water pump that is for a pond and use it for a homemade dwc system any help appreciated

im sure you can, i dont see any harm in more oxygen for the plant to breathe

and if i put it in like a 50 or 60 litre container will this do or would i need a bigger 1 again. thanks

i think it will do and jus wondering how many plants are you plannin on growing becuz i believe you can probably grow like at least 4 decent size plants in there jus my 2cent :]

That pump will heat up that small res of your pretty quicky if u keep it on 24/7
U need airpumps for DWC, not waterpumps.
Although you could use that pump to recirculate the water to different buckets that could be connected to your res.

oops my bad i thought you were talking about a air pump....

yes but what if i had just the very tip of the top of the pump in the bottom of the res and turned it on would that work then or still need a airpump, thanks

you would need an airpump u can probably go to walmart and buy 2 air pump which will cost you about $45-50

U could use the pump for a flood and drain table. Deep water culture user air-pumps & stones to blow oxygen bubbles, thru the stones, into the water.
Then there is a GIANT squid swimming around as to create a current that in turn gives the plants
a fighting chance to survive CAT-ATTACKS.
