i live in a state that has yet to legalize/ decriminalize "bud" so due to paranoia i have decided to invest in a product that disperses thermal footprinting, the only items i have found online are "double bubble insulating rolls" which are around 150$ for 500 sq. ft. so here are my ?'s

1. does a 400 watt light system put off enough heat for me to even need this product

2. is "double bubble insulation" the product that i should be looking for?

3. will this stuff work?

From everything that I've read on here, a 400w light will do nothing to alert any type of authorities using thermal imaging. It isn't until you get into multiple lights and lots of watts before you have something to worry about.
As far as that bubble stuff goes, I couldnt tell you if it'll work or not, but if youre only using youre 400w i wouldnt get it. I have also been told that the foil insulation stuff works well, i didnt check your link so I'm not sure if its the same stuff, but if it is, ive been told it reflects the heat quite well and helps to make it less apparent to thermal imaging. dont have any personal experience with it though. good luck

We used FLIR in Afghanistan and it can't see through walls. What cops look for is two heat exhausts from your house, example being a dryer vent and another. Or, a heat exhaust where there should be no dryer vent. Just blow the heat into your floorboards, attic, or back into the house. One exception is if you were running 4 or 5 1000w and the home temp got above 100 degrees, that would be really suspicious. Also remember that home roofs frequently go above 150 deg F. from sun. To answer your question, a 400 watt is not gonna create any heat at all. I run a 1000 and i'm good.

This is only 30 watts combined would replace a 200 watt HPS and has no thermal foot printing. So spend an extra 50 bucks get a better grow with no noise heat or foot printing and no paranoia.
