is it ok 2 water twice a day? cause bought new hps setup yesterday and after couple ov hours the soil is dry as a bone again then starts drooping but kicks back 2 life after another water..this is my first time with hps still learning all the time....thanx

id say try ventilating better to get over all room/closet/whatever temperature i use soil 1ltr pots with 600whps and water 400ml each pot daily 200ml 2-3hrs in and 200ml after lights out, just as long as u keep nutrients down to recommended levels should be fine

also dude. are they drying out to quick coz u got small pots for the plants or are the pots a decent size? also how close is the light from the plants? you dont want your soil drying out to quick due to high temps. if everything is ok and ur having to water twice a day because the plants are big and healthy and wanting water then thats fine.

well first provide us with some info on your grow, what is the wattage of the HPS, what is the soil mix, what is the pots volume and how much are they "rooted thru". also the temps in your grow are from interest, as well as humidity and ventilation.

without that every answer is a bit half baked

i had the same problem, but it turned out that i had the light too close. i moved it away a little and everythings fine.

well i was growing under red spectrum 125w envirolite but got 400w hps now and using enviro as side lighting for flowering.my temps are constant 84f humidity 42 my pot ia about 12 inches tall and soil is asda mult porpose its all what i had when just starting out but it 5 weeks into flower now and worry about repotting her just incase i do summit wrong but i got john innes no3 compost and perlite for next grow also she is massive cause i vegged her for 8 weeks but more than doubled in size when i flowered her the hps dual spectrum is about 9 inches away from top as she is well streched from envirolite i had at first. i also have 2 16inch fans in closet both oscillating with door open wen lights on near a window.

sounds fine dude similar to mine fans door open window etc, not pro by a long shot but its a learning curve

Sounds to me like you should have used bigger pots. If it's completely dry to the bone, do you really have a choice about watering?
