so i have never grown any auto's but i was thinking of growing something like auto ak47 or something like that, now heres my question, say i start them under 18/6 and they start flowering, do i need to change the lights back to 12/12 at any point? will they finish off and ripen with an 18/6 light cycle and are there any yield advantages to using a longer light cycle

Autos will finish about 8 to 9 weeks after germinating, no matter the season. So I don't know what you are talking about. From the equator to the north pole 8 to 9 weeks.

Good question, I'd like to know that as well. And what happens if they're on 24/7?

Well indoor usually gives more weight compared to outdoors, so yes, you should get a bit more harvest. No matter how much light you put on it though...8 to 9 weeks. :peace:

the manufactures of the auto seeds put out recommendations on what light regime should be, whether it's 20/4 or 18/6... however, i think the garden is at
maximum efficiency when the lights are on 24 hours a day. it's an old wive's tale that plants need some sort of "rest period". more light gets you to harvest faster
with these autos, even if it's only the diff. between a day or two. plus- more light, of correct spectrum, is better for the plant anyway.... the seed is genetically altered to flower. it doesn't care what schedule the lights are on, so my personal opinion is the more light, the better.
