My plant doesnt smell

This is my second plant that I am growing and I am about a week away from harvest. My plant has tons of trichomes on the buds and leaves, but it still does not smell very marijuana like. It smells much more chlorophyll like.

Just wondering if this is cause for concern. I am using about 7 cfls. I have been using the same fertilizer which is a 10-15-10 except for the past week.

it sounds like you are using too much nitro..not sayin its burn just has too much and is going to take more time to ripen... a plant has a natural cycle where at peak it begins to die,if you use a 10-10-10 fert it will inhibit ripening...only need1-5-5 or something simular....i use bat guano and then liquid karma plant stimulant

One week from harvest.. start flushing that shit and stop giving it nutes, you will gain the weed smell/taste when you flush all of the nutes out and cure the bud.

That might not happen, if it doesn't smell a week away from the chop it probably won't smell like much of anything.
Get some better genetics and proper nutrients...

Every plant has a different genetic makeup. Some are really skunky, some you need a dog nose to detect. For whatever reason, people associate smell with the amount of THC. The stronger the smell, the better the high.

Foolishness!

I recently had a friend grow G-13, the infamous government/cia strain. Wow! What a great smell....and the crystals? Jeez, it looked like White Widow. Unfortunately, the stone was extremely poor. It's kind of like going to a fancy restaurant and having the best looking and smelling dish this side of the Atlantic. However, the taste is completely lacking.

The question is, do you really care how it smells or are you more interested in how it makes you feel? I've asked many of my customers this. Don't sweat it. Wait until harvest, be patient, let dry properly and try it. If it's a great buzz consider yourself lucky. You have a great plant that doesn't smell. What a 'problem' to have. If the buzz is as lacking as the smell, get a different strain.
