I have used this site very frequently in preparing for my small scale grow. I wont go into too much detail unless asked but here are the basic.
pics at the bottom i think (rusty in forums).

-Unknown seed from some good pop
-AeroGarden classic w/ 1 gallon basin(found on big trash day, started all this)
-70 watt HPS
-Maxi-plugg(stone wool)
-2x 100 watt full spectrum halogens(supp)
-Grow box 2'x3'x3'
- G H nutrients trio
-PH up/down
-!FAN!

Want to mention first off that since I found this system in the trash, though it was fully functioning I had to creat a make shift pod out of a mesh drain catcher, this has become a main concern of mine and will say more about it in a bit.

I started my 1st grown about 4 weeks ago and things seem to be going well. My plant is about 4 1/4 inches tall and the roots are out of the maxi plug.

I am preparing to scrog(screen o green) since i have limited space for a full size plant AND my light even thought it is pretty small compared to others. i know its risky to attempt something a little more advanced like scrog on your first grow but since this is taking a few months of my life i want to get the most yeild from the smallest space now that i have commited.

So anyway based on my pics does anyone see any immediate problem I should be concerned with, I a reading about scrog more an more and I feel like the chicken wire might be too small, I was planning on groing it up that little screen ramp and doing a once around before flowering.
Also the roots have broken though the maxiplug and started filled out in just about every small hole in the bottom of the mesh drain the plug is sitting in, I poked some bigger hole around the screen a while back but am still worried that not enough of the roots will get out based on pics i have seen of massive root systems.
I know this is a jumbled mess but i would appriciate any advice from you guys. Also i know people have been wating some pics from an AeroGarden in action so enjoy.

Now I could be talking out my ass here (more seasoned growers, please shut me up!), but I suspect the best plan might be to throw away the halogens and replace them with CFLs.
In general, halogens use a lot of electrical energy to pump out too much heat and not all that many lumens, at wavelengths which aren't all that useful to plants. (though if your halogens claim to be 'full spectrum', maybe that last bit isn't true of yours.)
