So I bought 1500 lady bugs, and they all died within six hours!

I had sprayed with insecticide soap like four days ago, and I am thinking that is what killed them so quickly. I am curious how I can fix that problem, I really don't want to spray the plants with water (and to be honest not 100% sure which ones were sprayed) but I am hopeful the spray with evaporate or something? I am also bombing with pyrethrum tomorrow, and then figured I'd wait 3-4 days before trying again with the lady bugs.

I am almost six weeks into flowering, and I want to take these ladies down at eight weeks... I just don't want loads of bugs all up in my shit when I take em down..so I need that army of lady bugs tho I fear they may not be able to live in the room due to the fact that I sprayed with the soaps.

Any comments?

Also, can I run my d\h while bombing or should I turn it off just as I do the ventilation?

Local garden store... I don't believe it was the quality of the lady bugs, I think it was just the insecticide soap. When I used to spray some of it would get into the soil, and I actually don't water to 10% run off so I am wondering if I can't use lady bugs for the rest of the run because of traces of the soap?

i released the last of mine last night. about 2 or 300 hundred. i reached over and grabbed the spray bottle to mist them. they love water when they first come out of the fridge. so i spray away, they are drinking up, i glance at the bottle.... it's "don't bug me"!!!!! they were drinking it. 5 mins later the floor was covered with SCREAMING, SPINNING ladybugs. i'm still crying. I AM SO SORRY.

bug killer and ladybugs DO NOT MIX!!!!

I suppose that was a little oopsies by you eh? I read maybe putting a little bowl of water in there might help them out. I have to assume eventually there will be no traces of the soap in the room anymore...but I'd like to hear your opinions on this.

i've never used soap but i imagine it lingers for awhile. wait a week or so then release a few and see if they spin on the floor or not.

Gonna bomb the shit out of that room tomorrow with some Pyrethrum, give it a week and then throw the lady bugs in there for the last week and a half of growing time. Hopefully they can take care of the job for me.

They prey on spider mites and aphids. Right now I'm having a mite problem so I was going to try to see if the lady bugs might eat them fuckers up

you know the first time i realeased predatory mites i had already poisioned the entire room you cant use pesticides if your going to use predators
