Does anyone else have an issue with standing water left on the table? I have my pots on my table and when the table floods and drains there is some standing water left that cannot fully drain. How can I resolve this issue? I was considering lifting my pots off the table by about an 1/8th of an inch so that when the table floods they can absorb the nutes and when the water drains the remaining little bit of standing water won't come in contact with the bottom of the pots. Any suggestions?

Wouldn't a simple towel or rag work?

Flooding everyday for 4 tables that could become tiresome and repetitive.

maybe a layer of clay pellets will make it not so bad. i have the same problem in one of my trays and i know how that shit likes to turn into sewage. i wish i didn't, i really do. i'm gonna try and cover my tray up with some clay pellets and hopefully that'll do the trick. i think as long as light doesn't hit it, it would be fine.

my lights evap most of the water.

wicking sounds like a good idea. i think if you were to raise the pots the root s may reach for the water and be exposed to light ???

Would you put your pots on top of the layer of pellets or put the pots on the table and then surround them with the pellets?

Maybe... But don't a lot of trays have irrigation channels that sit below the pot? That's my train of thought... Creating some sort of channels for water to flood into and raise up to the pot. Then, the little bit of standing water that is left will (hopefully) be evaporated by the lights. The standing water isn't an entire coverage of the table, it's just a few spots on each table that collect a small size area of water.

i have my table on the slightest slant so the water runs to the hole.
