Using coco pyth... Need help with nutes!

Hello everyone, this is my first grow and I'm using coco pyth, along with "pomes rock" which is somewhat like perlite. Some people say using regular ferts, will burn the plants and build salts up, if I use the regular powdered fertilizer 30-10-10/10-50-10, will it work?

Any growers wisdom will be greatly appreciated...

You can use the ferts you have, if that's all you can get. Just be very careful to avoid over-fertilizing your plants, and make SURE that every time you water you get a solid 20% runoff to flush out salts.

The coco-specific nutes do work better, in my opinion, so get them if you are able to.

Here in Costa is very hard getting those special coco nutes you're talking about. Would have to order them thru the web...
If I insist on using these regular ferts, what's the range of PPM I should use in every water cycle, of these mentioned 30-10-10/10-50-10 corresponding to veg/bud cycles?
I plan on getting a pH/EC/TDS meter...
