Default First time grow pics; opinions welcome
Hello all,

This is a first time closet grow and very small just 3 plants. The seeds are greenhouse AMS fem from worldwidemarijuanaseeds.com. At the moment we (roommate and I) are running 1 150 watt HPS and 2 CFL's (can not remember the watts but labeled as 2600 lumen). Growing in Fox Farm Ocean Forest. This is just over 3 weeks and topped 2 of the plants 2 days ago (they are looking good up top). Added nutrients (Schultz plant food 10-15-10) at 3/8 dose the first time yesterday and saw some slight discoloration in one of the plant leaves after about 36 hours (small nutrient burn?). The other plant looked a bit droopy and is probably a little over watered.

We just wanted your input as to how they are looking and opinions on our girls.

Just an update on this I would still love some help figuring out what is going on. The problem has gotten worse and moved past just the tip of the plant. The effected leaves are almost completely discolored and I fear for the other leaves. We are switching to distilled water as the tap water we use may be to hard (we let it sit out for a few days before using). I would love to post some more pics when I get a camera that works.

Our theory is either a magnesium def, nutrient burn, or some kind of lock out from high PPM.

Please anything is welcome just want some outside advice on this. + rep for help

for starters they look healthy. I would venture to say that they are on the borderline if not already overferted. stop the nutes for a while. they should be a nice deep healthy green-ur are on the darker side. the tips of those affected plant looks like nute burn.

ok well the affected leaves are not doing so well. We did notice something and wanted an opinion on it. Since my camera is broken I made a drawing in paint haha of what is going on.

- There are two branches? coming out of the node, one on top of the other.
- The bottom branch? is turning yellow and dying off (as seen on the real picture above)
- The top branch and its leaves looks healthy

Edit: The top branch? has other growth coming out of it that I forgot to draw in. While the lower branch is only on 5 point leaf on it.

Is this just young growth naturally dying off? Any questions please post as I know this silly ass picture may not help all that much

They look pretty decent so far, but I believe the discoloration IS a bit of nutrient burn.
I'm no expert, and I may be wrong but the yellowed tips and blotches look to me like they're a bit burnt.
You might want to do some research as to how to correct the problem the fastest way possible.
I would start by stopping all nutrients for the next week or so, and just give them straight water (prefferably distilled water so u can rule out any contaminates in your water supply).
If they start to regenerate at the tips, slowly add nutrients every 2-3 days until you are giving them the recommended amount.
Like I said I'm no expert, so you might wanna read up on this issue before you take any action.
As for the branches growing on top of one-another; That is something I've never seen before, but it sounds almost like the yellowed branches have started degrading so they are closing up their "veins" so to speak, and the plant is trying to replace them. Again you should really do some research to know for sure.
All I can say for sure is that The more time you spend learning about growing the better off you'll be.
Having said that, it's also a lot of trial and error.
