I checked the www.NCCPN.org and to my surprise found this:

Boycott Applebee's

After holding one pancake fundraiser breakfast in Clemmons on Sept. 12th, we were told by the manager of Applebee's in Fuquay that we could not hold any more pancake breakfasts at their restaurants. The program which is "open to all non-profits" is not open to any non-profit that is "politically charged" according to the home office at Apple Gold.

Well, that is certainly disappointing, especially when you look at the list of other non-profit organizations that are clearly politically motivated.

Hows it going Jerry? Not alot of activity on here since I been gone. Sorry to hear the breakfast didnt take place . Kinda blows applebees is being a bunch of pricks about this. Maybe we should talk to the people over at wafflehouse .
I was talkin to my lawyer yesterday about the cost of permits for a march on charlette . He suppost to have the cost for me on monday .

Hi there - I'm new to these forums, primarily because of the intense need for surfing for information on this topic.

Does this bill even still have a pulse? I've read tidbits about the vote being set for today, but I absolutely cannot find any information.

I take up home in the Western mountainous area of North Carolina, and even in my small town there are a lot of people who could sincerely benefit from this kind of reform.

We've written our representatives; we've gotten auto-generated responses.

Any searches I bring up on the internet very quickly deadpan, and the status page of the bill doesn't appear to have been updated since this whole thing started.

Someone - what's going on?

Thank You for these youtube posts. I REALLY enjoyed the second one.

I actually have driven up and gotten out of my car to look at a Hemp Field in Farmville, about 1 month ago. IT WAS AMAZING. It made me dream of being a farmer even. The field was at least 5+ acres and a solid 12 foot tall wall. SOLID. I bet every sq ft had about 3-5 plants in it. It was just amazing. After seeing real hemp farmed, it made me realize it is a great alternative to the cotton they grow around here; as far as making textiles and paper. There must have been many times more "product" there vs cotton in the same field. Seeing this started making me think about subsidized crops and government politics, ick. Tobacco is a dieing thing in our area, hemp could make a lot of people money here. From asking around only a few farmers have the needed license to grow this hemp....but I don't really know squat about that, just know that field was inspiring.
