even with all the contacting
the NC public/voting crowd will have to vote yay or nay in the fall....
its still april. gotta get on the ball!
Thanks for explaining that far more eloquently than me Brick Top. Right now, it has go through/is in the process of going through 3 house committees--Health, Judiciary II, and Finance. Beyond that, I imagine it will have to make similar Senate rounds as you indicated. So yeah, its got a while still, but it won't be enacted until Dec 1 2009 anyway.
That means lots of time to continue contacting your local legislator and those serving on the committees.
I don't understand how you could be prescribed percocet or oxy's and not have your license revoked under this provision! Those things incapacitate you more severely and for a longer duration than smoking ever could, especially in high dosage.
This just goes to show that even though it is a medicine people still treat it like a street drug.
babs i get what ur saying about the driving thing must of us ar just fine driving with a buzz. but some of us can handle the shit even street swag witch aint shit compared to some truley good shit. anyways are you saying u read some where that with a prescription of mj they will revoke license? thats f ing bullshit.
thanks kp2 i have read the bill amd thats why i was asking more about babs post.
i agree to a certain extent.... the way the laws are now, if you test positive for marijuana, you're driving drugged (and we all know that testing positive and being high are two completely different things...). this is why they make a clause to exempt medical mj users from the dd category.
i would hate to spend time in jail because i smoked a bowl two weeks prior to an incident.... ya know?
