it all started 4 years ago. i had a garden of bagseed. it came from sacks i was getting from a friend. he said it was indoor hydro from up north. ukiah if i'm not mistaken. it was nothing but the best. always a phone call away. always A+ quality. white rhino and blueberry are 2 of the strains i remember. i grew some out. my brother-in-law came home with some plants. he said they were blueberry clones from a club. one was a male. not a hermy but a straight up male. he grew it out and saved the pollen. i seeded one of my plants. these became my "base" breeding stock. i called it roadtrip because i was working on the road out of town when i did all this. i would come home every 2 weeks for a weekend then leave again. i owe a lot of this to my wife.

so i took the roadtrip. grew it out. got pollen. i pollinated it with itself and got my F2's. i also pollinated some trainwreck with it. and a clone from the club called "air force 1". it was a sativa that grew a missle type cola that smelled of red wine and candy. the roadtrip has also been crossed with this and that along the way.

so when i pollinated the AF1 i only got 1 seed. it was a male. i took this male grew it out and collected pollen. i pollinated a roadtrip female and got "hijack". see how i "hijacked" Air Force 1? i captured it and took it as mine. the weird thing is is that hijack and roadtrip share NONE of the same traits. complete opposites.


then, here it comes......................i took the pollen from the AF1 x mystery male and pollinated a trainwreck plant that i had grown from some trainwreck bagseed. so i now have an trainwreck x AF1. the hijack and the AF1 are alot alike. so if these 2 strains combine i shuld have some decent smoke.

i have 1 in flower at somewhere around 5 -6 weeks(?). i will post pics tonight of her. i also have 1 outside and 1 fully seeded inside. the seeded one is the subject of the "milking my nuts thread".


















this is all really confusing and i didn't write half of it down. i may be mistaken on a generation here or there. out of all this i have so far 3 solid strains that i have isolated and somewhat stabilized. i have many more to grow out. AND i've been pollinating outside my flower room then putting the plant back in. i have random seeds on all my plants. all different strains. some have been pollinated by male flowers that pop up at the very end of flowering on other plants. some have been pollinated by the "raft" pollen. it is only 1 or 2 seeds on a plant. you would never know. but now i'm holding all these "bagseeds". since it's just "bagseed" i guess i should throw them away.

dude, i'm stoked...me and my wife had just laid out all our strains made a vote for the next to germ and raft won, i just tossed some RAFT seeds in a cup put them up in the cupboard and then got online and saw this thread........can't wait to see how RAFT turns out.......I'll post pics of my raft as soon as there is something to show...

i forgot you have some. i'm so high. those will be an F1. i have the seeds of the F2 almost ready.


so roadtrip was named because i was on the road. nice solid name i was told. the high is indica tiring. like a long drive.

hijack was a hijack of air force 1. another nice solid name. and the high is sativa soaring. like being on a high jacked plane.

raft is a combination of the 2. RT- roadtrip, AF- air force 1, split the roadtrip add the air force 1 you get RAFT. i haven't smoked any yet but i bet you end up bobbing and floating. like down the river on a warm summer day.

i named the strains BEFORE i sampled any of the smoke. this is all falling into place.

I'm really excited. to me growing out some "bagseed" that someone took the time to breed out with some other strains to create a unique jewel is worth more than any of the seeds i've bought from amsterdam or wherever, i feel some of the weed is becoming generic however this is not it's new and exciting, thanks for the opportunity FDD..

not to toot my own horn, but..... i have plants growing in my garden outside from seed bank seeds, cannabis club clones, and my own private stock. the hijack and the raft have the darkest green coloring. 2 shades darker than anything else. and only 1 seed bank plant compares in density of growth. i agree on the generic factor starting to play in. i just bought the big book of buds 3! how many strains can there be before it's all just a bunch of mutts? there are 1 or 2 new seed banks that are trying to correct all this.

mmm i cant wait...i think dj short,chimera and soma seeds are doing some good things.....to stop the generic genetics....

Meh...there are alot of ppl breeding as a hobby.A million strains.
