Yes..Black lights are useless..Cfl's , Floros ,Mh ,Hps is the only way to go.
use the black lights for your bedroom so you can turn it on when your high

well why dont u give it a try when cloning because it seemed to work just fine for me.
Clones need very little light. D2A on another thread you said that black light worked well until your plants had to bud.. Love to see a journal on this.
here's the specs. Black light and HPS
would have been better if i was on this site way earlyer in the process so someone would have reminded me to keep a journal
