HPS Ballast and electrical ?s

I want to get a 1000w hps system going and I've come to the conclusion that it would be the cheapest if I build it myself.

I've seen those types of diagrams before and they always confuse the living hell out of me. Could someone please put this in lamest terms!!!perhaps stoner terms?

wow sorry bro i look at these kind of diagrams every day. but if was going to to tell you how to wire your ballast i would want to see the ballast with pics and wires.
but im not to sure i could do it any easier than the picture. just follow the pic and connect one wire at a time. but if your still unsure then dont put power on it until your positive. you dont want a fire hazard.
sometimes the wires are different colors than whats in the pic but generally are the same. all the wires are printed on the side of them what they are.
by the time you get the kit, the socket, the bulb, buy or make a reflector, it would be easier to just buy one ready built.
but hey i make all my own anyway from industrial fixtures. all of mine are 400 watt though. check out my link in my sig.
im in the states and know electrical here so i may be able to help you out. let me know what you decide to get.

Thats all fine and good..but thats $30...THE PROPER CASE ANOTHER $20...A BULB (sorry caps) $70...+ cables... a complete 400w at insidesun or HTG supplies is about the same and cheaper.... $120. A 1000w is for a serious grow... check a philips son agro 430w HPS.. its good for veg and flower....
