hey all,

im from the uk and have recently come across some shit ass wet weed. i bought an eigth off some guy and when i got home i noticed it was all squashed and smelt of fresh cut grass, the smoke was harsh and when it burnt it didnt smell nice. it just pises me off that weed can be sold THAT wet. i mean for commercial growers i understand that they want their weight up so they sell it wetter than it should be which i suppose is fair enuf, but never saw weed as wet as this, it was SERIOUSLY crap.
so end of the day i was wondering how long you think this weed was cured coz im guessin it was either fresh off the plant or cured for like a day or 2... are people able to sell weed strait off a plant without any cure? do others actualy buy weed as wet as this in bulk?

anyone have an opinion or simliar experience?

sounds like there was no cure and you got a fresh pick. I would be a little upset too.

No real weed provider would sell damp weed, mostly because it could mold before they get rid of it.

I would be very upset. A lot of people don't realize how much water weight buds have on them before they dry out. Think about it, pot is sold by the gram for gods sake, and a gram of water is minuscule compared to a gram of pot. Basically, a bud can easily weigh twice as much as it should(comparing wet buds to buds dried until the stems snap), meaning you are getting half as much bud for your buck. I hate paying for a 50 dollar eighth of pot and instead getting a dime of bud and a dime of water. There is even this local dealer/grower that puts his buds in a food dehydrator, so the outside is all fucking crispy and the stem inside the bud is still wet and green. I hate that guy.

When i am forced to buy off the street,no matter if i know them or not,i try it first.If i cannot try it and touch it and smell it,no deal.F**k Them.
I doubt that it was packed and shipped wet,unless it is homegrown.Mold will set in before it hit the streets.I have seen dealers wet weed down so they could get their smoke free,or make up for being short.

i'm in the uk too, and when i'm unlucky enough to have to score off some street eejit, the gear is way too wet.. i've got a fair idea what harvested or part dried wed is like, and this shit is usually so wrong/wet/whatever that it can only come from post harvest shenanigans, like being doused with some shit in an atomiser... a freind of mine got a half of cheese a few weeks back (which i never saw)... next morning after being left out to dry (maybe 10 hrs later at the most),and it weighed a Q....that can only come from being fucked with surely... took my recent crop 2-3 days to loose that much weight..

I know someone that sent back 4 ounces last week because it was soaking wet (touch it and there was moisture on your fingers).

Quality of skunk has dropped dramatically in my area - grit weed (never bought it but seen it), wet weed and weed that hasn't had a trim (fan leaves and all left on the bud)....

It's why I choose to grow my own - I don't have to support other people by buying less than acceptable weed.
