You're on track w/the size gonna dub/trip philosophy, in relation to your room size.

I'd consider those colored streaks strain related. I put mine in around a foot tall and always get an ounce or more.

Alright well im using an aero. the hood goes to around 38" i was thinking having them at around 7" before i start to flower just to be on he safe side. the biggest on is around 6", but the rest are small maybe 4-5". So i should flip 12/12 when their relatively all around 7".

hey lost soul, you can flower (switch to 12/12) basically whenever you want, however, the plant wont produce buds until its mature, some people grow with 12/12 straight from seeds or clones. this is a perfectly fine way to grow but don't expect great yields. flower when your plant is half the height you want it at the end of flowering. ie if you have a 1.5 meter closet space flower at around 75cm

If you have height or time restraints then just put it in there when you need to.
I always wait for the plant to show me its mature. It will either sex itself in veg, show preflowers or stagger the branches. If you wait for the plant to reach maturity then it will flower a lot faster.

Mine came up on the 9th of Feb. I guess we were both on the same page that weekend. I don't know if there's anything to it but, my last 2 grows I've used 2700k cfl's for veg and flower. My plants have grown well and have been much more bushy. Plus, my female rate has been 4 to 1. I'd like to do a controlled study but don't have the room to do so.

hey guys so i guess i have a confirmed teenage girl going through puberty!!! Her name is La Nina, My second plant (La Pinta) is not showing anything yet, but i;m not losing hope on her yet... La Santa Maria is my third and largest plant.. i'm 50% sure it's a girl, but the hairs are too small to tell.... I'm keeping my fingers crossed....
This was my quick grow update... if you want pictures... ill post them up.
Quick question, even thought all 3 girls are looking healthy and gorgeous, but their stems are of a purpulish color... is this any kind of deficiency or just genetics??!?! let me know

word alright thanx indigo and stoney jake +rep...they havent started to show sex nor pre-flowering but i do have many node spots, because i trim them while they were young but not too much to stress them. i looked today and saw nothing but them veggin out.lol. do i have to gradually lower the cycle or just next cycle put 12/12 on directly? im planning on putting them into 12/12 tonight i'll keep you guys posted and let you know how it starts to flower, hopefully some pics as we go along this beautiful journey..ahaha
