2 flowering bagseeds 4.7 weeks 12/12 Mercury vapor and cfl

This is my first grow.
I have 2 bagseed girls.
No sign of hermie so far.
I have 4 100 watt cfl
And a 100 watt mercury vapor from 20 years ago that i had that works
I used miracle grow organic choice potting soil.
I had a few gnats come about so i bought some fox farm don't bug me spray.
U know just incase:wave:
Its been 88 days from seed
Flowering for 4.7 weeks
Their both around 30 inches inches tall.
I used miracle grow plant food for veg
I got fox farm big bloom for flowering

not enough time to veg, need WAY more light, need a proper nute schedule, need flowering nutes ...
that last pic looks weaker than a three week old female in flower done right.

cant flower using cfl's, if using fluoros, you need orange T5's, but hps is best for flowering .. you need at least a 250 w hps to flower two or three plants anymore you need 400, 600 or 1000 respectively ..

That mercury vapor isn't doing anything but adding heat. I would switch it out for some more CFL's or those T5's. The main thing is your plants look healthy. If you can get your hands on an HPS, though, it will pay for itself.

would agree with Kush... Need Hps and fast this would make a massive differance.

plants look healthy, but a little streached out. the mercury vapor light is not any good to flower with let alone grow with.yes you would be better off running all cfl's, but will do a lot better with hps. you will get a yieldrunning that light but nothing at all like you would running a hps. good luck

Mercury vapor isnt an efficient light for growing at all, do a little research im pretty sure you can use Metal Halide bulbs in mercury vapor lamps(not sure though), as far as cfls they are proven to flower nice buds, many grow journals to support that. I dont know if you have 100w equivalent or actuall but just buy a handful of the 42w cfls, put them within a couple inches of the plants and your buds will swell up nicely.But if you have the money for a bigger light, and money to exhaust it then get an HPS. HTG has a 400w hps for $120, then go buy a $50 Stanley blower and your set. Oh yeah for what you are using your plants look great, you are well on your way once you get some better equipment.

its my first grow and i think i did a pretty damn good job and ima get some bud

mate know one was knocking you down I'm sure, and yes your plants look great but they can and will when you get the HPS cranked up look so much better.

i do belive this is the learning site. i was not knocking you, was leting you no so yournext grow will be a lot better now that you no about the vapor light. good luck.
