to be totally honest this plant grew on my fridge for the first month and a half til it was hitting the lights. from a seed i found in a bag of weed i didnt expect it to grow so well ahaha .. it was just under the flaurescent lights in my kitchen. .. i just recently put it under a 400 watt metal halide.... i really havent done much too it at all. ill be happy to get one joint out of it. but yeah its been growing so good....... how high should the light be hanging above the tip? and whats the best way to add nitrogen?

First off bagseed grows are great learning experiences. I have seen a seed from a bag of reggie and I Mean str8 REGGIE MILLER turn out to be the fruit when we grew it under a 400 watt HPS/MH. Its all about the grow conditions. The burned spots on the leaves are from the PH in the soil being off. It also aids in the overall yellowing of the leaves. To even out the ph a bit use some lemon juice. It will help add acidity to the soil. Use about an ounce per every half gallon of water. I have used this method many times. Sulfur also works but it does not dissolve in water and takes a lot longer for it to be broken down into the soil enough for the roots to absorb it. Since the lemon juice is diluted into water it absorbs immediately into the roots and also over a period off time will cure the ph in the soil. I would suggest buying some SuperBloom or Tiger Bloom. It is very high in Phosphate to promote flowering and at the same time it has the same amount of nitrogen as common plant foods such as Shultz or Peters. I prefer shultz liquid. 7 drops per half gallon of water. It looks good to have been veged under a flourecent light on top of a fridge my dude. Put it under a HPS and it should turn out to be a nice grow...1ne Love

For growing on top of your fridge, I say it looks pretty damn good!

Just get some Super Bloom and switch to a High Pressure Sodium Bulb for flowering :)

is it really nescessary to switch to a hps light or can i leave it under the mh for the flowering cycle? and how high should the light be from the tip of the plant... and ive started to see white hairs already and i just switched it over 3 days ago? is this a good sign? will it continue to grow up in the flowering cycle?

Whoa buddy, she's going to be quite the beast. Cheers to a job well done! Don't forget to switch her to a nutrient solution higher in phosphorous ones you induce flowering.

It is not nescessary. You can flower with MH but the buds wont be as big or dense. Iam flowering 5 plants and 4 out of 5 were male only one female.. good job!

MH gives more potent buds though, with much stronger UV output compared to HPS.

Use them together for best results.
