ok i've just built a bubble cloner.. it's about 5" across by 10'' long by 4" deep my clones will be about 3 inches long wen i put them in.. i have 2" of 1/2 inch inner diameter hose to support them in the container.. i have a aquarium pump (Elite 801) that i will be using with a 4 inch air stone and a regular small air stione about 1 inch.. i have about 21 sites in this cloner .. 3 sites across and 7 up... i will have this up and running in a week or so.. i was just wondering would this be enough bubble to root the clones.. what the ideal ph of the water should be and.. what i could make at home to spray on the clones to keep the healthy without them dying and turning yellow on mee while rooting.. also i have a slight spidermite prob.. is there any way i could remove them by dipping the clones in some type of mixture that i can make at home.. i'm tight for cash atm and need something that i can make... will a humidity dome deter them?

Bubble cloners in my experience can over-water kinda easy, if I was you I'd get a 2nd 4" stone in there and align them diagonally and seal them in place some how. That way the bubbles are rising up to meet your corner clones. As far as the mites go, look into homemade tobacco based pesticide in the FAQ. Mites are awfully mean from what I hear and this link may help you more

Humidity domes are great for clones, this can be as simple as putting your small bubbler inside a large ziploc bag or making corner pillars and using saran wrap. I like my PH around 5.5-6.0 for clones, in the bubbler I put just a dash of nutes (like maybe 1/16th strength) and just wait patiently.

alright.. i can't get acess to another 4" stone... would the 2 stones that i have due to do one batch.. i will try the tobacco solution and i also have a humity dome.. (it's the same size container)

I can't imagine a wal-mart not having them... in fact i usually find them any place pet products are sold, even some drug stores. Oh well just look for even distribution, DWC doesn't work as well when the res is short. Gluing can be okay, but make sure it's to a plate or something that keeps them in position that you can remove to clean the res.

No need to bump, just set your stones and watch your bubbles and say "okay is it bubbly enough?" then test it... if you fail, well you know U need better gear or a different method.

yeah that's what i'll do.. and thanks my gramar isn't very good nor my spelling..lol (first time bubble cloning) so how would i know if it's bubbling goo enough to support the clones.. by how wet the top cover gets?
