Hey everyone!

Just started drying/curing on of my plants. I hung them upside down for 3 days till the outside was nice and cripsy, and I put them in mason jars to cure yesterday. My questions are...

Are mason jars good to cure in?

When and for how long should I open the jars to air them out? I have been opening the jars 3 times a day for around 5 minutes, is this right?

When I test it, the bud tastes dirty and smokes harsh with little good taste, nothing like it smelled like when it was alive. Is this because their is still chlorophyll in the bud? Does curing rid of chlorophyll?

I didn't leave my plant in darkness before I chopped, was I supposed to? Does it make a big difference?

My buds are getting really fluffy, is this a normal thing? It doesn't look like the stuff i buy (see pic)

mason jars work fine and it sounds like your doing it right...did you flush for a good 2 weeksbefore harvest?

Next time you harvest, slow down the drying (3 days crispy) but then again they look fluffy.

Mason jars are great to use for curing.

Depends on how much moisture is in bud as to say how many times a day to open jar, but I think 3x 5mins is good, just make sure to feel the bud and see that is is not real moist when first opening.

Yes and Yes, give them a few weeks up to a month.

What it does is makes sure the plant is not taking up any water, and also makes for the bud to get coated with trichs.

Yes this is normal and buds are diff/strains. Molases in the 12/12 cycle will help.
