I have ten 3 week old plants that have been under a 400 watt mh 24/7. Do I need to give them a few hours of darkness to show sex or will they show after 4 weeks no matter what?

They will show in another week, look at the 6th 7th node up and you will see her presex, also means she is mature. You know your plant will grow on 18/6 just fine.

I haven't grown from seed in 5 years. I forgot if the lil guys need dark to show sex or not.

they will show sex when they are mature enough on their own without any darkness, it will most likely be more than 4 weeks before you get to that stage however

When your plant is 7 nodes high look between the 6-7 node for signs of sex
Also I prefer to give them 18/6 because the roots need complete darkness to relax and get set to go again. Hmmm something like that, I stones of some Diesel and I know I read it in the bible below.

put your plants to 12/12 and you should see sex in about 2 weeks.

I heard, but not tested, if you don't want to 12/12 your plant, take a small cutting and 12/12 that beast, same sex as the parent.

Also, I wouldent think growing from seed or clone or any means other than those would make the plant act differently.
