Darn folks. I started this first grow because of being tired of getting ripped off. My plant is just two days into the flower stage, so I have a while to wait, and I have two small ones that just sprouted. I should have got a clipping or two before I started the flower stage. Is it alright to get a clipping or two after just a couple days of the flowering mode?

Anyway, yesterday I purchased a sack from my contact and as usual, it was 50 bucks and it is nothing but small buds with some seeds in each, half potent garbage and the bag was supposed to be a 1/4 bag but it was just under that weight. I am so tired of smoking this garbage and paying 50 bucks and the damn thing doesn't even weigh what it's supposed to. I would pay a hundred bucks for a quarter of really good bud. I am so tired of this and that's why I have started down the path of growing my own.

I wish there were a part of this forum setup to tade clones. people that live in the same cities. I live near the Knoxville, TN area. Anyone near that would give or even sell me a couple of female clones? I just got a horrible feeling that the plant I am flowering will end up a male. I could get so much more serious about this if I knew for a fact I was growing females. I guess if this big one does end up female I can put it back into veg after harvest and get some clones from it. It would just be so cool to be able to meet someone that would slip me a couple clippings so I could know I have females. Anyone near the Knoxville area around here that would be willing to stay in touch and compare grows and trade clippings and such? Every city needs to have a club where they trade strains, clipping, seeds, and buds for others to try out. Can you get busted for having one or two clippings?

Heck, about six ounces per year is all I need for personal use. Surely I can grow that much raising two plants three times a year. Will six average plants yield six total dry ounces? I am figuring 2 plants to harvest every four months, giving me three harvest each year. I only smoke about a 1/4 bag a month. Six ounces would give me a half ounce each month of the year. That would be more than enough smoke for my personal use, which only consist of me and my brother getting a buzz and playing computer games and such.

Sorry for rambling. I am just so frustrated after spending 50 dollars on a bag of seedy buds yesterday, and didn't even get a full weight bag. I wish so bad I had someone within 50 miles that I could drive up and get a couple clippings, I would be glad to pay for them if need be, maybe stay in contact and compare notes and trade clippings and buds sometimes for each other to try out.

Clones can be mailed within the states.. just have to find someone to send them to you. Also, you'd be quite brave to give someone your address.

Your reason for growing is almost the same as alot of peoples, the price is too high. I wouldn't risk mailing a clone to your or even a P.o box, seeds are different because they can just be taken and no harm done, but a plant is a different story. you could get in alot of trouble if the local law enforcement really wanted to bust you.

dont be so down on youself you will soon be free to chief. dont mess around getting clones from people. the first one to offer will prolly be a cop.

just order some seeds online.

also you can clone far into flowering. my first attemt at cloning I did in at the end of the second week of flower and I had a 100% success rate. it will take em about 2 weeks to fully root.

the way I do it is a get a plastic bin and put like 2" of water in it. I then get like a mesh plastic stand and put my rockwool cubes on it which are wet. the cubes sitting on the plastic platform I made are just barely touching the water to constantly keep them moist. I also have a large air stone submerjed in the water kicking 24/7 lastly I have a clear piece of plastic covering the top with some nice warm light above. I spray them every day with love.

also you should try to play your greedy dealer. tell him that you got this other hook up giving you them for $40 and you dont understand why he sellin higher. tell him you like buying from him cuz hes much closer to you location wise than this other cheaper yahoo but somthings gotta give. If he doesnt budge on the price then just say thanks anyway man and never call him again. I bet he will give you a shout when he notices you missin for a while

Guaranteed he will call you. when I used to sell people used to pull that on me all the time. Before I knew what was up i used to call him... Depending on how big he his he might fall for it he might not. When I was moving Grams and half o's I would fall for that. But when I stepped up to moving a lot more weight I wasnt as stupid lol. When you're paying 50 for a 1/4 sack you know you're probably not getting top of the line bud. I can pay 50 or 60 and get 4-5 grams of some really good purps or some other shit. Just buy some seeds online.

Right, I just don't know the right people. I am 44 years old and I play music for a living. I met this guy at a gig and he used to sell to me for 40 a bag. Now it's 50. I wouldn't even mind that if he would make the damn bags weigh what they are supposed to weigh. Once, he sold me a bag that must have had a hundred seeds in it. He is supposedly a friend. This is weed grown by someone that doesn't know what they are doing, probably a hick who grows in his yard and doesn't remove the males and just grabs the seedy buds when it's done. I know my contact is probably paying 30-35 per bag himslef. I am just sick of it. I can't wait to finally establish myself a couple females. I wet to lwoes today and got some "Green Light" cloning material, and some peat pellets. I have one soaking now and it made a little bag. Tonight at 11:00PM it will be time to take my plany out of my guitar amp case where I keep it dark, and I will cut some clippings and pop them in the peat bags.

Yeah, I have two kids and I am a single dad, so I am very paranoid about doing this. I only want to grow two plants at a time since I only need about 6 ounces a year for personal use. Four onces would probably get me by just fine. I can't wait for the day that I harvest my first buds and then when my contact calls me I am going to tell him that I quit smoking. Or, I'll tell him I foind much better quality stuff for cheaper.

I am growing in my closet now, and I need more lights and I am also going to build a grow box with two storgae bins put together like the poster Jethro has done in his thread. While i was at Lowes today I checked out the light fixtures and such, should be pretty easy. I am thinking I will grab a garbage can with lid to set the plants in for the dark periods. Right now i am having to use my amplifier case. I just hope that this one plant turns out to be female, but I just doubt my luck will be that good.

Also, no way would i want to give anyone my address. I was thinking I could meet someone first and get a clone or two, talk over email and such.

Anyway, I just needed to vent more than anything.
