I've got roots coming out my yin yang!

Ok, my plants are currently in a drip hydroponic system in 4 inch rockwool cubes. I just noticed that there are tons of roots growing out of the bottoms and out of the sides. I plan on transferring them into an ebb and flow system as soon as they are big enough to go into the flowering room. Do I have to transfer them into buckets right away or can i wait? They are only a month old. I watched the Greenman video and saw that when he transferred his plants the roots were REALLY long and that just doesn't seem healthy to me but he is a pro at it I guess! I would appreciate anyones input! Thanks!
