Could anyone give us some advise on our babies. We are beginners at this and one of our plans is 15 - 20 cms and the other is approx 10 -15 cms. they are under a 400w hps light 18hrs on 6 hrs off. The leaves on the bigger plant are beginning to turn up and inwards although it still looks very healthy and green i cannot help feeling we are doing something wrong. We are not using any fertilizers and also have 2 small fans in there. We are struggling to keep the tempreture down usually about 80f. we will be happy for any suggestions and are on the way to get ph tester. thanks

from my very limited experience, it sounds like its too hot. plus you dont even know the ph? what kind of an operation are you running there?


when i retired as the president i did a little test run and i had some good plants that were about 10 inches tall.{what the fuck is a cm?} then all of a sudden the leaves turned inward, some of the leaves had little yellow spots on them and the fuckers just died. i had way too high heat 85 with fan. and i also over fed the plants which just seemed like a good thing to do at the time. just like iraq. maybe you are overfeeding? you really have to resist the urge to overfeed.

If your temps aren't above 80f then that's definitely not the problem. To be perfectly honest it sounds like your plants are totally fine. The leaves will "reach for the light"

Unless they are starting to really curl right over then they are probably fine.

I can tell you 100% that its not your PH and you shouldnt start messing with PH unless you are having PH problems (ie. nute lockout) Unless your running Hydro you probably wont need to adjust PH.

Do you know what the humidity is around the plants? If not I would get a Hygrometer. You can get a digital hygrometer/thermometer for like $10 at pretty much any hardware store.

Some pics would be really helpful, just to give an idea of how bad they are curling.
