Just need to know which to buy? Since I have no clue about LEDs and stuff I dunno what the correct color would be. They do not mention the color on the growLED sites.

well, plants mainly use the blue and red spec of light since those are absorb by the 3 types of chlorophyll.
my best guess, check a light spec chart for cannabis, better there is on around here

Yeah, i know about blue (6400K) and red (2700) but i dont know bout the LED's.

Wot is a SMD LED, or a through hole LED

does it really matter what you choose as long as they are either blue or green or is there a marked difference btwn diff blue colours?????

ALSO: has any1 got any hardcore results proving that LED's actually work

I will definately be buying a shit load of them when I know which colors to buy, I will create a 3ft x 3ft x 5ft grow cab with every wall, even the floor covered in LED diodes. I bet the results will be way better then a HID at that point.

well that isn't to impressive if you ask me dude, you could have got the same results on a SOG plant grown with CFLs. LEDs are fancy, but those LED bundle bulbs you use i have seen in electronic shops for 80-90 bucks and the clerc told me that this would be equal the in output to only a weeny 25W incandescence bulb.

but what did you pay for those 4 and what did hey state to send out in lumen per watt?

I am not an Expert on this but my research found:

470nm is good for the blue LEDs Veg

630 to 645nm is for the Red Flower

I have heard the ratio to blue to red is 5 to 2 veg and 1 to 6 flower

if you buy the LEDs to wire check out this site on how to hook them up

I have bought LEDs on Ebay and they cost $15 with shipping from china for 400 LEDs.

I want to see the grow box, I have started one and everytime I go back to it I don't have time to finish it. I have veg a plant 12" tall using nothing but 36 ultra bright blue LEDs (I found out it was a girl and decided to HPS it)
