I was wondering if anyone knew what would happen if you ordered seeds online and had them shipped to the US? Will companies sell them and what happens if they are discovered?

People order them all the time. How do you think some of the growers get started? The worst that would happen is that you'll lose your money. Companies will ship to the U.S. and there is a seed ordering button at the top of the page that rates these companies. The risk you take is that the seeds will be seized by U.S. Customs. If they are seized, a letter will be sent to the shipping address stating that U.S. Customs has seized contraband that was to be shipped to this address. Any other contents that are not considered contraband have been forwarded to the address along with the letter.

So basically you lose your money to the company for the seeds and you get a letter saying that the U.S. customs took them.

A lot of times they make it through though.

Can any one else verify this?

well i don't really know about what happens if customs finds your seeds but i have ordered seeds before and got them with no problems. though that seed site is no longer up and running for some reason. small orders should probably get through customs easy such as 10 to 30 seeds. peace

Yes, they wont come after you all you will get is that letter, but you also get a big red flag that kinda puts you on the radar. with all that said i have ordered seeds for all my friends and personal use about 10 times all from amsterdam and they have all gotten here.

what happens if you ordered seeds and your tracking number say it was delivered and you have nothing at the house? no letter and no seeds... I ordered from the attitude because of the good rep but I got neither...

How many beans did you order? How long ago did you order them? My beans from attitude took 6 days(yes i am in the us). I am actually amazed, the stealth packing was a joke IMO, but it got here. Gypsy Nirvana, took awhile to ship ( i guess they close for a period around the holidays) Once they shipped took 6-7 days. Cheaper Shipping, Stealthier, great freebee's.

I have ordered from 3 different Websites for a total of 6 shipments and they all came through.

Most of the sites that ship to the US package the seeds cleverly and you have to look very hard to be able to find the seeds. The only giveaway is that some of them are postmarked from Holland.

Yea the onlt danger is if customs seizes them, then they will send u a letter telling u they tok ur shit. Nothing will happen to u if its a small order. Keep in mind the larger the order, the more likely to get caught. Ive never heard any stories of the seeds being seized then the people being arrested. Its complicated, but the only risk on small orders is losing money.
