Foxfarm Ocean Forest is one of the best (so i´ve heard)..i use Universal Terra Comp wich is the best i´ve used so far...but i supose that almost every soil available in a garden center will do the job...

If you live in the States, buy Schultzs' Pro Potting Soil. If you live outside the States, buy any good organic potting soil at your local nursery. Here's the mix:

2 part potting soil.

1 part Perlite.

1 part Vermuclite.

1 part worm castings.

Add one SMALL handful of granulated dolimite lime (keeps PH in check). Mix it all together and grow.

You won't need any ferts for at least 45 days with this mix. All of the above ingredients should be available at your local nursery.

Also, while at the nursery, buy a "moisture meter." This will give you and accurate guage on when to water and when not to.

marijuana plants LOVE the mix I just gave you. With proper lighting, ventilation, etc., you should be able to grow some prized plants. Good luck ...

Vi

So just to be clear that mix you are talking about will be done with either the schultz or the organic soil? I just want to make sure you are not saying to use that mix with just the organic soil. thanks for the help!

After screwing up my first couple grows because of soil content, I've been pretty content with my own personal mix.

Depending on the size of your grow you can change the amount of each part:

1 Bag Organic Potting Soil
1 Bag Perlite
1 Bag Vermiculite
1 Bag Peat Moss

All you have do to is mix these bags and you should have a soil mix that will suit growing herb just fine.
