Ive been wondering....just how much of your bud/leaves are needed for making a decent amount of hash?

I want to try to make myself a bit....but I dont wanna use a great deal of bud just to make a little bit of hash....get me?

I know this is kinda hard to answer. But if I can get a ball park amount needed.....like....in order to make a ping pong ball sized hash chunck....how much bud/resinious leaves are needed?

I'm not sure how much you would need, but I'm sure that for the size of a ping pong ball, more than I would be willing to use myself. I'm sure if you look through the forums, or the FAQs you can find a hash recipie.

Ive seen the how to guides. They dont get into the amount of bud used....well not that I saw anyway. And maybe a pp ball is a bit big.

So...smaller than that is fine. Just trying to get a general idea.

it depends on the type of pot, the method of extrating the glands and the quality of the end product you are looking for. But an average I would say is 10%-20% of the weight of the cannabis you are extracting from.
but it totally varies, some weed is great for making hash and some even really dank weed is not good for making certain types of hash.....

One of the regs on here posted a thread called bubble-hash recently and I believe he said you get back 10% of the weight you put in. So put 1 lb of fan leaves and bud and you'll get back about 1.5 oz or so. BTW, 1 lb of fan leaves is A LOT - like a bucket full.
