You don't have to use att for your packets to travel over their network, they are one of the largest backbone providers in the states. I'm not saying the NSA is gonna be after you, but after they perform some data analysis, whats to prevent them from tracking every connection made to rollitup.org and logging the ip. Nothing really, it's just computing power and I know they just love spending tax payer money on more computing power.

I'm not saying they are going to come after your little grow op for 6 plants, I don't think the feds get involved till you have over 100 plants. But whats to stop them from sending a tip to your local police and they put a watch on you, they check through your garbage (this happened to a friend) find a couple stems and the next thing you know they are breaking down your door. In the case of my friend, he wasn't a dealer or a grower, he was a small time schwag smoker but they still busted his door down. It all started from a bunk tip that someone said he was a coke dealer.

Don't underestimate local cops on a power trip. It's better to cover your ass as best you can, the more trails you leave the easier it is to make a case against you.

That being said, I've had tor installed for years, I don't use it when I come post here unless I need to post a pic, then I use tor and a bugmenot account.

Lol, the NSA doesn't give a crap about some weed growers (no matter how big). Even the tight ass DEA who thinks a single joint is on par with capital murder I doubt would jump through the legal hoops trying to track down a grower on here unless they really really knew he was for sure a big big time commercial supplier. But this is the internet, just because I say I'm a 6'5" Harvard educated multi-millionaire ex-model does not mean that I really am . Sure there's big growers here but there's also a lot of wannabes and posers as well. It's not worth their time sorting through it all.

As for Tor yeah it's free but it's a slow frustrating pain in the ass. I'm sure you can also get sex for $5 on some street corner in Detroit but I'm not sure it would still be a deal.

Yeah, the NSA isn't concerned about growers, they just collect the info. Who's to say they don't run packets through their filter and forward any questionable packets to the DEA or HIDTA. They probably don't, but I'll tell you what, I don't trust a damn one of them.

It's all about weighing your risks, and trying to minimize them.

Another buddy got busted within the last year just going to a grow shop. I don't know what he bought, but it makes me not want to go there anymore.
