I have a 2 month old mother who has been growing under a cfl in the loft. I wondered if I could put her out in the back yard today as its nice sunny weather. Will she be ok?

yes.

if you can get her out early that will be better than putting her out mid-day. dropping her out in the middle of the day might cause the leaves to burn from the intense light.

Its best to harden them off before you put them outside in direct sun light.For the first few days outside put them in dappled shade or early morning sun for a few hours each day increase the amount of sun and amount of hours. After 5 or 6 days doing this they should do fine.
