I've heard that molasses is never good for anything except soil growth. Many hydro growers complain about buds and pests when using molasses.
Molasses usually provides a long lasting and nourishing source of carbohydrates for microorganisms living in soil. These microorganisms break down nutes into substances that are easy to absorb by the roots. Molasses also contains many minerals, which make it appropriate for mineral deficiencies and for a higher expression of flowering. Conclusion: You could use molasses BUT keep an eye out for pests and don't expect the same effects as it has in soil growth.
