I have just started growing, and with one sprout the seed cap has just fallen off and the top of the sprout where the leaves are coiled is brown. Is this bad, if so how bad? Curable or is the plant doomed? It currently lives in an old terrarium, woth full spectrum UVB and UVA. I made the soil mix myself and have added sme perlite and vermivulite. I have not used any fertilizer yet because it is so young.

sorry to jack the thread, but i have a wee bit of wisdom from my mom that may be useful to outdoor growers. she puts crushed up egg shells in her soil in the spring, saves em all winter long, hehe. from what she says, the shells kill tons of the little slugs, worms and other soft bellied critters that lurk around your roots and try to eat them. apparently the shells cut upon their stomachs and they die. lol, who woulda thunk it? |

I have a hydro set up with about five plants. Witch are still in the veg stage. I was planning on starting to flower them in the next week or so. I was moving a couple of my babies around for optimal lighting , when i accidentally bent the main stem on one of them. It did not snap but there is a puncture wound witch is oozing a little and it will not stand alone any more. I have staked and tied the poor thing. Will she be alright and should i give her a little more time before i flower them ? Anybody with any input would be a great help to me and my little girls.

Did you just water?
EDIT: What are the temps and Relative Humidity (RH)? 25-27 C and 30-40% RH is prefered.
The reason I ask is that skinnier leaves are from lower RH, that helps with light penetration. When flowering occurs a lower RH will induce a more resonous plant (which is what we all want, MORE THC). The plants will produce more resin to trap moisture.
