started veg 2x a day for 15 minutes. once i started to flower i went to feeding 4x a day for 15 minutes, only when lights on.. oh ya and i am using straight hydroton.. last few weeks i will add one feeding in the middle of the night for 15 mins. i use RO water, GH 3 part, with added cal mag, silica blast, and big bud and h202 .. will also be using overdrive at the end

how much would you say you spent on lumber & materials for plumbing?

for the entire project it was probably about a grand.. i spent about 200 on the gutters, fittings, brackets, silicon, downspout and all that good stuff.. the lumber itself was a couple hundred but the most expensive part were all the metal brackets.. they are usually about a dollar to 2 dollars and i used a ton of them lol

how is the heat control since the lights are so close

oddly enough heat is not an issue.. i have buds that grow within 6 inches of the light and have no problems. since heat rises naturally, the addition of a fan below both lights creates a convection effect and there is no problem... with a vented hood the heat is contained within the reflector which is why it gets so hot and must be vented... with no reflector heat does what it wants to do!
