Question Temp of 42w cfl vs. 150 hps w/ remote ballast?

What do ya'll think. I think the heat is comparable (in total) between a 42w cfl and a remote ballasted 150 hps. There seems to be more radiant heat from the hps but my box in general seems about the same (broke cheap my thermometer durring my conversionm from cfls to HPS.

Yeah, I know...just go buy a thermometerstill i think it's interesting basic knowlege for any of us micro growers

A 150 hps is a LOT hotter than a single 42 watt CFL even if the HPS is remote ballasted. It is also 3 times the wattage. All things being equal. The CFL's will be a bit cooler, However the HPS will be easier to manage due to cool tubes.
