my grow room is really dry, should have bought one a long time ago.

anyway, its sits at about 10% humidity. how do i use a humidifer in a mall space, should i have it on a timer to come on for 15 minutes every 3 hours with the light on, or what.

i have a 24hr analog timer like this, but im not quite sure how to use it as it didn't cme with instructions, so if anyone could help.

What I would do is set it up how it will be in "The room" and turn it on and get it up to the highest level you will want it, and time it to see how long it takes to drop to the lowest level you want it, and then time again how long it takes to get back up, that should get you an idea of cycles

Say it takes 20 minutes to get it to the highest you will want it, then takes an hour to drop down to the lower limit, then only 10 minutes to get it back up to the higher limit, from the lower limit. Then you will need it to turn on every hour for 10 minutes, to keep it in that range

right, my temps at around 78, cant get it any lower. its 21:00 here, so hopefully it doesn't increase too much during daytime.

cant get humidity over 30% even with humidifier right next to plants, but that could b because i was breathing most of it in, and its only been on 10mins, so i will go check on it in an hour...looks like its gonna be on perm 18/6 though.

how much electricity they use?

now the light has been on there a few hours, along with the humidifier, the humidifier has cooled the temp down to 75. but its only showing up as 15% humidity now.

if i cant even get a 7ft/8ft/3ft rooms humidity up with a humidifier, what the hell am i supposed to do? i was expecting atleast 40% after buying this, not 15%.
