When is the best time to transfer pots. I am transfering my mothers which have been in a 1 gallon pot and vegging for a month. I want to put them into 5 gallong pots.

Also i just watered yesterday, is it ok to transpant them when they are like that or should I wait till they dry out?

best transplanting when soil is moist(it holds together better).
use the potting up method as a guide when to transplant.
always transplant in vegg mode only.

Transplanting with the soil moist is best. Dry is the worst because its easier to loose soil. The only time you should not transfer is in late flower. Five gallons is pretty big. Takes a long time for the soil to dry! When you flush you need 15 gals to flush properly @ 3 times the pot size. Or you can use a flushing agent like Clerex or Florakleen.

Do you think I am being preemptive in moving them into the 5 gallon pots. I wont need to flush them unless there is a nutrient problem because these are going to be my mothers and stay in veg forever.
