Do I need a heat pad when cloning or can I just put them under my fluorescents and it should be ok. When I was popping the seeds there was not much moisture that produced on my hood when I put them under the flourescents.

I use one. Don't know if it's a must but it came with a cloning kit I bought.

it helps provided it's a grow heat pad your talking about not a medical one. If your room is warm though (75-80 F) you'll get by without one.

I use one .... doubt it's a requirement if your space is warm enough. I use one because I grow clones in the closet of my grow room and I keep that room air conditioned.... soooo a heating pad makes sense for my setup.

LOL... I use a medical one.... set on low.... I put a towel on top of it and the clone tray on top of that.... works great and only cost something like $15.

your heat pad should be set 10 degrees lower than your canopy temp. if your thermometer at the dome reads 85 the heat pad should be set at 75. this 10 degree difference will give you excellent results. or is it the other way around? lol
