How effective are lady bugs with pests?
I am about a week from being ready to start flowering my latest crop, and I can't seem to get rid of these damn pests. They are tiny and white (spider mites I am assuming) Using alot of neem oil, but I am still finding little holes in the leaves, as well as a few yellow spots. I spotted a few bugs today, it's hard to spot a ton but when you have a few, most likely you have a ton. I am considering buying 200-300 lady bugs at the local store here, and seeing if you guys had any luck with this method. I also have a pesticide soap that I will be using tomorrow. No webs or anything like that, but I have bugs chilling on my plants without question. Any advice? Also using a Hot Spot pest strip, have heard mixed things about these.

ladybugs have a hard time eating mites because the mites are so small. ladybugs prefer aphids.
predator mites eat mites though.

I have not 100% positively id'ed what type of pest I am dealing with though I can I did see a web about a week ago, which leads me to believe it's definitely mites. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a huge problem, I definitely see some yellow spots, though not many. I am going to try the insecticide soap I bought tomorrow, and follow up with a few bombs prior to flowering. Once flowering is induced, I guess my only option is neem oil. I have a friend that does sulfer bombs but I wanted to stay away from that if at all possible.

sounds like mites. they like to hide on the under sides of the leaves. down in the nooks and crannies. use a magnifying glass and you will see them. then you will spend the rest of the night scratching yourself. they are really creepy looking.

They are mites indeed. Just gave a nice foilar spraying with the incesticide soap, hope it works. Boy can you see the webs when you wet the entire plant. At least I am noticing these things quickly, though I fear I will be fighting this problem the entire cycle through. I am considering buying a shit load of lady bugs, but I'm hearing mixed reviews as to weather or not lady bugs can even eat mites

make sure you get the bottoms of the leaves. this is were the eggs are hidden.

Oh I got the bottom leaves, and let me tell you friend... merely misting them will show you just how many webs have been created. A very gross scene indeed... that bothers me.
I am going to stay on these fuckers like white on rice. Ball game is on! I'm going to
them up.
